Silk Touch

For exactly one snapshot, 14w25b (1.8 snapshot), a Silk Touch item can be used to obtain the data values of 8 and 9.[2] A player must first place down an acacia or dark oak log, and then break them using the Silk Touch tool. This would create data value 8 from the acacia log, and data value 9 from the dark oak log.
